Season of Giving: Napa seniors prepare blankets for cats

About a dozen women, all residents of the Inn on Villa Lane in Napa, recently gathered in an activity room at the senior living facility. They were knotting the edges of fleece squares, making cat-sized blankets to donate to Jameson Humane, an animal rescue and sanctuary in Napa.
The goal was to make about 30 of the no-sew blankets, said Mirian Morales, life enrichment coordinator at the Inn on Villa Lane.
These seniors, who range in age from 76 to 102, have a combined century's worth of crafting experience, but they admitted it was the first time they’d made knotted fleece blankets for cats......
